A SaaS company should redesign the whole website only when the problem is structural. If the product site works but one campaign, audience or use case needs a tighter conversion path, a focused landing page is usually the faster test.
Choose a redesign for site-wide problems
- positioning is unclear across the site;
- product and use-case architecture no longer matches the offer;
- technical SEO, performance or mobile issues affect many pages;
- demo, trial or signup journeys are consistently poor;
- the site cannot support current analytics or product integrations.
Choose landing pages for a focused acquisition problem
Landing pages work well for a paid-search theme, specific ICP, integration, use case, event or product launch where one audience needs one clear proposition and CTA.
Do not use campaign pages to hide weak positioning
B2B SaaS buyers often investigate product pages, security, integrations and comparisons after the first click. A polished landing page cannot compensate for a weak wider product story.
Diagnose the funnel before rebuilding
Identify whether the loss occurs before the CTA, during the demo or signup flow, in qualification, or after sales handoff. Fix the actual constraint rather than assuming a new design will improve pipeline.
Both approaches can coexist
A strong core product site can support trust and organic discovery while campaign landing pages support fast testing and paid acquisition.
