AI can support financial-services operations, but the safest marketing use cases are administrative and assistive. Automation should not be presented as a substitute for authorised human judgement, suitability assessment, financial advice or other regulated decision-making.
Lower-risk automation opportunities
- classify inbound enquiries and route them to the right team;
- create CRM records, reminders and interaction summaries;
- draft internal or marketing content for human review;
- extract approved data from repetitive documents for checking;
- summarise customer-service themes and common questions;
- consolidate marketing and pipeline reporting.
Controls should be designed first
Define permitted data sources, access, retention, review responsibilities, escalation and auditability before deployment. Sensitive or consequential outputs should be checked by the appropriate person. Customer-facing systems should make it easy to reach a human when a query moves beyond approved information.
Measure workload saved, response consistency and process quality rather than publishing unsupported AI performance claims. For marketing workflows, see AI automation services.
